<info>Be Perfect an independent video by SoulStice from the Chicago / Maryland area.</info>
	<longinfo>-- What’s the word --
In this day and age, every serious musician has to have a presence in at least two places: myspace and youtube. Admit it, if you looked for me in one of those two places and couldn’t find me, you’d start to wonder. To that end (and so you can see how much fun we’re having), I offer you my new video: “Be Perfect.”
Here’s a few fun facts about the video:
-- The color-matching shots were unplanned (until we actually got on location and realized my shirts matched a bunch of the houses)
-- The green house we shot at is actually the second green house we found. The owner of the first green house kicked us off their property.
-- The scenes with the extras were shot on Howard’s campus. You’d be surprised how many Howard students didn’t want to be in the video.
-- This is my wife’s first appearance in a music video, can you spot her?
-- A few of the extras are also my co-workers (including the cane-twirler)
-- The office building we shot at is not mine, but is actually right next to where my wife used to work
-- Lastly, it’s a split video, so watch it all the way to the end!
SoulStice
Dead Letter Perfect
AVAILABLE NOW!!
On the heels of the breakout album, Dark Water, SoulStice of Wade Waters is back with his second solo offering. Representing Chicago, SoulStice is quickly becoming recognized as part of the city’s elite. Dead Letter Perfect is a 15-song look into the lifestyle of the new hip hop generation through the eyes of one its most unique practitioners. SoulStice offers Dead Letter Perfect up to fans as the “perfect hip hop album,” featuring sincere, top notch lyricism over soulful production provided by Oddisee, K-Salaam, M-phazes, Analogic and more.
Thinking back, I spent some my early years as an artist (before the release of the original North by Northwest – circa 2001) running away from my educational background. My whole stance on it was something like "yeah I'm good at calculus, but I can still spit!" As I've grown as an artist and as a person over the years, and the fact that my background doesn't quite fit the "hip hop mold" is something I've come to embrace. In fact, as you've no doubt noticed, my degrees and "day job" have been the driving force behind a lot of the press coverage I've garnered thusfar. Oh yeah, and I guess some people out there actually like my music too.
Wandering Soul Records
Chicago, IL--- To say that SoulStice spits knowledge would be an understatement; after all, he does have a Masters Degree in Electrical Computer Engineering and holds down a position with the Department of Defensive. Yet, SoulStice reiterates that his day job affords him the opportunity to pursue his true passion in life - Hiphop! Ten years of grind, development and immersion culminated in the fall of 2003 for SoulStice with the release of, The Melody, a piano-laden banger that introduced SoulStice to the world. The Melody quickly climbed up the club and college radio charts, hitting number 1 and proving that SoulStice was an artist to watch. The most recent double-single, Always / The Quickening hit the streets in early 2005 and culminated in another number one chart position, spending 14 weeks on the club and college radio charts, earning modest BDS-recorded commercial radio spins and critical acclaim in the US and overseas. Sharing the stage with artists as diverse as John Legend and Wu-Tang Clan has set the proper foundation for SoulStice to shine and lead by the soulful production of Oddisee (who has worked with J-Live, Jazzy Jeff, Talib Kweli), SoulStice documents his long and winding journey from the windy city of Chicago to the nations capitol of Washington, DC, fusing the signature Chicago funk and groove based sound with the thump of classic East Coast boom bap over the course of his 14-track debut North By Northwest.</longinfo>

	<info>Mulatto Patriot-The General Featuring Pugs Atomz 3rd Video from Mulatto Patriot's-Sonic Visuals.</info>
	<longinfo>-- Sonic Visuals Bio --
Mulatto Patriot, or MP as he is also known, is not what you would typically expect of a hip-hop artist. Hailing from Chicago, IL, MP is a more than just a talented and multi-faceted producer, engineer and entrepreneur. He is an active member in his community where he engages and educates local youth with the same fervor and appreciation that attracted him to hip-hop so long ago.
Born and raised in Hyde Park, on the Southside of Chicago, MP grew up listening to Jazz (Stan Getz and Oscar Peterson) as well as the electric and eclectic sounds that permeated the urban streets and defined the city. Drawing from moody blues to soulful house, Chicago hip-hop is known for its distinct musical influences that have produced a bevy of artists and styles not easily defined and refusing to be pigeonholed.
MP's affinity for music began very early in his life helping his father, a professional pianist. By the age of 8, MP began to learn the process of setting up gigs. As he grew older his love for Jazz naturally evolved into his love for hip-hop. Understanding that music business can be a difficult and tedious trade, he enrolled at Full Sail Real World Education in Orlando, FL. There he attained the knowledge and art of composing a greater quality of music while also learning the fundamentals of the business. At the age of 20 he bought his first turntables and shortly thereafter began to DJ at in-stores, club dates and a weekly radio show at WKRP Rollins College where he dedicated his time to incorporate independent hip-hop artists.
With a mass of opportunities before him in Orlando, MP decided to return to Chicago and rep his home. Armed with newfound knowledge and a desire to work, MP was quickly hired to engineer projects for other artists often leaving him with little time to focus on his own work under his own production house, Mulatto Patriot Productions which he launched in 2003. Faced with the pressure of what to do, a sudden twist of fate changed his destiny to run Mulatto Patriot Productions as a full-time career.
Even though music was his lifelong passion, it wasn't until a near fatal experience that served as the launching pad for this young artist's career. At 27, MP's appendix ruptured, landing him in a coma for over six weeks. What started as a minor stomachache landed him in the emergency room fighting for his life. "12 hours later and I wouldn't be around" recalls MP.
Now, at the age of 29, MP prepares the debut release of Sonic Visuals, a producer's album featuring MCs from across the U.S., Canada and Germany. Artist features include Ras Kass, Casual (Hieroglyphics), Pumpkinhead (Brooklyn Academy), Eternia. Pugs Atomz , Anacron, Decay (Molemen)and DJ Intel to name a few. He believes his music is diverse, reflecting different styles while still keeping the vibes that got him to love hip-hop in the first place. "At the end of the day there is something for everyone [on the album]"says MP. "I feel there is a lot to take from this album, but beyond diversity in the styles displayed and in the selection of beats, the obvious feeling you get is that a lot of work and time was put into making the album. I want people to know that this is 100% Chicago Hip-Hop."</longinfo>
